Everyone has a story to tell and someone needs to hear it. The Treasury of Family Heritage has launched the Great Heritage Campaign to help families preserve and share these precious stories and life experiences. The Center For Active Generations is proud to announce their participation in the Great Heritage Campaign. We would love for you to help, too! Watch the video for more information and create your free account today. CFAG will receive 25% of all paid vaults. Join us in The Great Heritage Campaign. Join CAT!
The CAT Team meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 10:30 am. Please join our Community Action Team, whose mission is to use the resources and generosity of Center members to make a difference in the Sioux Falls community. The team's objectives are:

1) To provide an avenue and drop off point for Center members to donate much needed items to non-profit groups in Sioux Falls. Such projects may include: a food drive, hats/blankets for the homeless, or toiletries for the Children's Inn.

2) To provide a community outreach team for special events for organizations serving children and the elderly. This may include holding a monthly birthday party at a children's residential program, or a holiday party at a nursing home. Our CAT members will go in with fun food and party favors and make a dull day into a bright and cheery occasion for these special people.

Our scheduled drives for 2009 include:

  • July - September 2009: Beginning Basket for the Children's Inn (toiletries, laundry soap, etc. to help abused women start anew in their new home or apartment)

  • October - December 2009: Children's needs for The Banquet

  • November - December: "Tree of Love" - Christmas presents for nursing home residents.

Could you help with either of these objectives? The Center has so many talented and creative members, who could use their skills and interests to truly make a difference. We hope many members will get involved with CAT and give back to our great community and those who need help.   To get involved, contact Lisa Howard at 333-3307 or lhoward@cfag.org.
