Collecting Pennies.

Penny Collections will Benefit The Center for Active Generations

In conjunction with their summer “ Take Five and Grow It” campaign The Center for Active Generations is collecting pennies. The pennies will be used to help with the equipment needs for The Center’s Activities, Day Break Adult Day Care and Meals on Wheels programs.

The community is invited to bring their pennies to The Center for Active Generations located at 2300 W. 46th Street in Sioux Falls and place them in the “Penny Drop” display in their main entryway.

“During these times of economic challenges this is a small way that people of all ages can help our non profit organization,” said Shelley Hanisch, The Center’s Development Director.

Pennies will be collected until August 15th. For more information please call 333-3302.

Did you know that 7 million pennies are thrown away each day! Center members, staff and community friends are invited to donate their pennies throughout the summer to help support the "Take Five & Grow It" campaign. Look for the special Dacotah Bank container in the Center's main foyer and place your pennies in it. It will be exciting to see how many pennies we "GROW" to help us purchase new equipment for our Activities, Day Break and Nutrition/MOW departments. Everyone who donates pennies will be entered into a drawing for a $50.00 gift card donated by Minerva's Restaurant. Stop by the Center's information window before you donate your pennies and fill out your chance to win. The winning name will be drawn during the "Take Five & Grow It" celebration on July 23.
