Membership Information
A membership
with The Center For Active Generations opens up many new opportunities for
adults. The Center is about "Celebrating the Best in Living!" Living healthy,
living active.
Come out to the Center to meet friends, take a class, work out
and stay healthy.
Membership is
required to use our facility. Membership is for a year from when you sign up
with the Center. Renewal letters are sent out when your
membership is due again.
The Center has two membership options for our members. A Social Membership
entitles you to take part in the recreation,
educational and social programs. A
fitness Membership is required, in addition to the social membership, if you
would like to access our fully equipped fitness room and locker room facilities.
The Center is pleased to offer many free benefits with your membership.
Some of these
benefits include: free health
screens, fitness assessment, free health fairs/screenings throughout the year, special events,
free Center
library access,
free computer Internet access in the lounge, free special events, hundreds of
social opportunities, educational seminars, over 30 special
interest clubs, free
monthly birthday parties, access to an affordable fitness center/classes, access
to the SeniorNet Computer Learning Center, Access
to the Sioux Valley Care Span Clinic,
lounge, trip and travel opportunities and much more!
Some programs clubs and classes require additional
participation fees, including but not limited to: Pool/Card Room, SeniorNet
Computer
Learning Center,
fitness
classes, travel, arts/crafts classes, dances, and some health screens.
The Center
offers several payment options for your convenience and cost savings.

1-Year Membership: $35.00 Single and $50.00
Married couple
3-Year Membership: $95.00 Single and $125.00
Married couple
5-Year Membership: $150.00 Single and $225.00 Married couple
Lifetime Membership: $350.00 Single and $500.00 Married couple
Registration
Walk-in Registration: Forms are available at the front desk or
click here to dowload the registration
form and print it out.
Mail-in Registration: Complete the printed registration form. Two applications
are required for a married couple.
The cost is $35 for a single and $50 for a married couple. Send a check made out

Trial Membership
You
are invited to try out the Center for a week's trial membership available at the
front information desk.
Volunteer vouchers are available for those on limited incomes. See the Center's
Program Director for qualification information.
The
Center is open to all adults over the age of 18.
Guest Passes
Out-of-town guests are welcome to use our facility, including the Fitness
Center, for $5.00 per day.
Please have your out-of-town guests sign in and pay at the front desk and get
their daily-use card at that time.
This 1-day pass allows them access to the Center's Fitness Center, locker and
shower facility, pool room, library, lounge computer, and other Center programs
and clubs.
Free week passes are reserved for potential members who are thinking about
joining The Center For Active Generations.
Activities and Program
Registration Information
Membership at the Center For Active Generations is required to participate
in Center activities and programs.
Payment for programs/classes is required at the time of registration; space can
not be held without payment.
Please register at least one week prior to the first class. Some class
enrollments are limited, so register early.
Call 336-6722 to verify that your class is going to be held before purchasing
any supplies.
Cancellations may be made by phone or in person.
If a cancellation is made for
a trip or outing within the last week prior to the trip, NO refund will be
given. See Trips/travel policies.
The Program Director has the right to cancel classes.
Waiting lists are taken for filled classes & trips. You will be contacted ONLY
if someone cancels or another class is added.
We can accept registration by phone for free classes ONLY.
Refund Policy
If a class/activity is cancelled by a Center staff member, a full refund
will be given to those who have registered.
Once a class has begun, and through the first week of class, 50% of the class
fee is refundable.
If a participant cancels a class after the first week of class, NO refund will
be given. Keep this in mind when registering for classes.
If you are unsure if a
class is appropriate for you, please contact the Program Director to answer any
questions.
Full refunds are given only for fully cancelled classes.
Allow two weeks for processing refunds.
Weather Policy
If the Sioux Falls School system is Closed due to bad weather, then The
Center For Active Generations is Closed also.
