Facility Rental
"The Center is an excellent facility to hold your next meeting, family reunion, or special event."

The Center for Active Generations is an excellent facility to hold your next meeting, family reunion, or special event.  We have rooms available for rent. Call 336-6722 for more information regarding availability, rental hours and other equipment, and rental policies.

A security deposit is required. Our fees are a fixed half-day and full-day rate regardless of the number of hours used. Half-day rental fees are based on 1 to 5 hours. Full-day rental fees are based on 6 hours or more.

In addition to the room rental fee, there is a security deposit and a $20/hour staff supervision fee for each rental. This staff supervision fee is due with the balance of the rental fee. If the hours of use go over the estimated time, charges will be taken out of the Security Deposit.

Members of The Center for Active Generations receive a 25% discount on all facility rentals.


Rental Fees and Rooms Available for Rent

Sertoma A & B: This 2-combination room is ideal for wedding receptions, Anniversary celebrations or dances. Sertoma A has a tile floor while Sertoma B is carpeted.  A 6' by 12' stage at the end of Sertoma A is great for programs, presentations or dance bands. Sertoma A can hold approximately 250 guests set up for reception dining or more set up with seating around the outside for dances. Sertoma B can hold 8 six-foot round tables with seating for approximately 75 to 100 guests. A microphone system is available in both of these rooms. Sertoma B can be rented separately.
Rental Fees:
Sertoma B (Capacity = 75 to 100): $100/half-day or $175/full-day. $50 deposit required.
Sertoma A and B (Capacity = 250): $200/half-day or $350/full-day. $50 deposit required.

Conference Room (Room 128): This room is great for small groups, board meetings, or educational seminars. The room will comfortably seat 20 people around a large conference table. A slide screen and white board are available for meetings or presentations.
Capacity: 20 - 25
Rental Fee: $25/half-day or $50/full-day. $10 deposit required.

Coffee Shop (129): This activity/coffee shop has 6 square tables and 24 chairs. This room is a logical choice for small parties or gatherings. This room includes a kitchenette with a stove, oven and ample counter space. An extra 6' or 8' table can be brought in for extra space or to provide additional seating space.
Capacity: 25 - 30
Rental Fee: $50/half-day or $100/full-day. $20 deposit required.

Lounge: This carpeted, open area in the Center is ideal for small family gatherings or a more intimate party. With prior permission, the Grand Piano in this room is available for use. This room holds 8 square tables with 32 chairs as well as a small sitting area. If additional seating is needed, the adjacent coffee shop can also be rented.
Capacity: 35
Rental Fee: $50/half-day or $100/full-day. $20 deposit required.

Art Room (132): This room has 5 six-foot tables as well as a sink and wonderful counter space. This room would be ideal for art classes, craft classes, or small group meetings. The room will comfortable seat 20 to 25 guests.

Rental Fee: $50/half-day or $100/full-day. $20 deposit required.

Craft Room (201): This room is similar to the Art Room (132) but doesn't have a sink or counter space. The room has 4 six-foot tables and 12 to 15 chairs. There are two commercial sewing machines available as well as more floor space for different types of room arrangements.
Capacity: 15
Rental Fee: $50/half-day or $100/full-day. $20 deposit required.

Classroom (202): This room is set up classroom style with 10 two-person tables facing the front of the room. There is a white board for presentations and teaching. A screen can be brought in for PowerPoint presentations or slide presentations. 
Capacity: 20
Rental Fee: $35/half-day or $70/full-day. $10 deposit required.

Activity Room (203): This multi-purpose room holds 12 square tables and 48 chairs. There is a small counter, sink, and refrigerator for small amounts food preparation. Chairs and tables can be rearranged to meet the needs of your event. A microphone system is available. For larger events, the room can be expanded to include Room 204.
Capacity: 50
Rental Fee: $50/half-day or $100/full-day. $20 deposit required.

Activity Room (204): This multipurpose activity room is the smaller of the two activity rooms. It holds 9 square tables and 36 chairs. This room is an excellent choice for larger meetings, educational seminars, or small gatherings. The room can be set up in various ways and also rented along with the adjoining Activity Room 203 to accommodate larger events. A microphone system is available. White boards and projections screens are available and can be moved into the room.
Capacity: 30 - 40
Rental Fee: $50/half-day or $100/full-day. $20 deposit required.

Both Activity Rooms (203 & 204):
Capacity: 60 - 90
Rental Fee: $100/half-day or $200/full day. $20 deposit required.

The Center For Active Generations Rental Policies

  • Lessees will comply with all applicable rules, regulations and policies set forth by the Center For Active Generations.
  • A Security Deposit of $250 is required on all rentals. The user (lessee) shall be responsible for any damage to the facility
    and its grounds beyond ordinary wear and tear and will be billed for any such damages. Determination of the amount of such
    damage shall be within the sole jurisdiction of the Center For Active Generations and payment for such damage shall be
    deducted from the damage deposit with the balance returned to the lesee within 14 days following the event.
  • The lessee shall provide proper supervision, ensuring the protection of persons and property in its care, enforcing facility rules
    and procedures and restricting all participants to authorized areas only.
  • During the time the facility is being used, the lessee is responsible for any and all accidents, damages or loss of property.
    The Center For Active Generations and its designated representatives shall be held harmless for any and all claims resulting
    from use of the Center.
  • Lessees are responsible for their own set-up and clean-up. This includes returning furniture to original locations, cleaning and
    wiping down tables, sweeping the floors, mopping the floors as needed, and removal of trash to the Center's outside dumpster. 
    Failure to clean-up adequately will result in additional clean-up provided by Center staff and charged to the lessee at a rate of
    $20/staff per hour.
  • Lessees are required to pay a staff supervision fee of $20/hour on rentals held during non-business hours.
  • Group size is limited to 300 people in our Sertoma A and B rooms.
  • ALCOHOL IS NOT PERMITTED in the Center or on the premises. The Center is also a non-smoking facility.
  • The lessee is responsible for removing personal belongings and equipment following the rental.
  • Our commercial kitchen is not available for caterers or lessees to use or rent.
  • Our serving line area may be used if prior arrangements have been made.
  • Lessees are responsible for bringing their own paper goods, table clothes, and cleaning rags for their event.
  • Security personnel may be required at events where the Center determines, in its discretion that security is needed to reduce
    the risk of damage to the facility. Arrangements for security will be made by the Center. The cost for the service will be paid by
    the lessee.
  • Cancellations: If rentals are cancelled 7 days prior to the arranged date the deposit is non-refundable.
  • The balance of the rental fee is required 3 days prior to the event.
  • Please call to make an appointment with Center staff and make a final walk through of the Center and finalize your rental agreement
    within 3 days of your event.
  • Decorations:
    Walls: In rooms where walls are painted, you may use only mounting clay. If hanging objects higher than arm's length, a step ladder
    is available. Please request the ladder in advance.
    Ceilings: User groups may not attach any items to the ceilings due to the complexity of the ceiling tiles, lights, Center decorations
    and sprinkler system.
    Open Flame: Due to fire hazards, all open flames (table candles, etc) must be enclosed.
    Fire Exits: No fire exits may be blocked by decorations, tables, etc.
    Balloons: Balloons may be used during events but they must be weighted down to prevent them from getting caught in our ceiling
    and ceiling fans.
    Mounting materials: Mounting materials which would hurt the facility are not allowed. All decorations and mounting materials must
    be removed in their entirety at the end of the rental of the facility.
  • Center's Right To Cancel: In the event of mechanical failure or other unforeseen occurrences that render the fulfillment of this
    agreement by The Center For active Generations impossible or impractical, this agreement shall be terminated or suspended by
    The Center's option, and the user (lessee) waives any claim for damage or compensation shall this agreement be terminated.
