Arthritis Support & Education Group
Monday, August 25 at 12:30 pm. Refreshments will be
served. If you have questions, please contact Jenny at 333-3306. This community support group meets the
fourth Monday of each month to discuss issues facing those with arthritis. Sue
Christensen, Director of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Sanford Health,
will share her personal story of living with arthritis, as well as her
professional knowledge as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, and the
important role of exercise and activity in maintaining and optimizing daily
function. The Arthritis Support & Education Group is sponsored by a partnership
between Sanford Hospital and The Center For Active Generations. Group facilitators are Lori Jones, RN with Sanford CareSpan
Clinic, and Jenny Centra, Program Assistant and Certified Arthritis Exercise
Instructor at The Center.

Center every Tuesday -- Lori Jones, RN, is available from 9:00 am to 11:30 am
for consultation. Stop by anytime.

Blood Pressure Screens
Blood pressure screenings are given every
Tuesday from 9:00 am to 11:30 am by Sanford Carespan
Clinic.
Blood pressure screenings are given every 2nd and 4th Mondays from 11:00 am -
1:00 pm by Interim
Health Care .
Blood pressure screenings are given every 1st and 3rd Mondays at 11:00 am by a
volunteer nurse.
 Sanford Foot Care Clinic
Wednesday, August 27 from 8:30 am - 4:00 pm in Room 201.
Thursday, September 25 from 8:30 am - 4:00 pm in Room 132.

Center's front desk for an appointment at Sanford's Foot Care Clinic.
The cost
of this service is $25. A nurse performs the foot care by appointment only.

10:30 am, in the Center's lobby.
Free hearing screens will be available.
Interim
Healthcare Foot Care Clinic
Friday, August 15. Appointments from 8:00 am - 11:30 am.
A
registered nurse and aide will be available.
A fee of $28 is payable at the time
of service.

HIGH Noon - Helpful Information for Good Health
Tuesday, April 29 at 12:00 noon. Put spring in your step. Take care of your
feet. Come and learn the basics of proper foot care, proper foot wear, and the
Healthy Feet Community Foot Care program from Karla Lubben, RN, Certified Foot
Care Nurse.
Grief Support Group
The new "Friends Among
Friends" grief support group will meet the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 10:00
am in the Center's conference room. If you have experienced the loss of a loved
one, please consider attending. membership to the Center is encouraged, but not
required. "Friends Among Friends" is sponsored by Miller Funeral home in
conjunction with The Center For Active Generations. For more information,
contact Mary Anderson-Wingen at 336-2640.
Caregivers Information and Sharing Group
This group meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of each month from 12 noon to 1:00
pm in the conference room, Room 128.
